Inspired by the "Thrifty Knitters" group on Ravelry, I've been shopping thrift stores for sweaters I can unravel for their yarn. This is my first such project at three stages. Underneath is the front of a v-neck lambswool sweater I picked up at Salvation Army for . In the middle is the yarn from one sleeve, frogged onto a homemade "niddy-noddy" of PVC pipe. On the right is a skein of yarn ready to be washed and hung up to get the kinks out. If all goes well, I should get several pairs of nice wool socks out of the deal!

tread carefully... this process can become VERY addictive... soon, you will find you are decontructing more than you are constructing... take it from one who knows!
