If that was the Denver show, I was there too. The backup singer is his wife. Once they got into a groove as a band, I didn't mind her presence at all - it was just another aspect of the performance.
Different strokes, I guess. For me it kept getting worse and worse, and there was no way for me to ignore it. I can see there was a good reason we called her Shakira Ono, though. I guess he can't exactly tell her she stinks if she's his wife, huh?
